What a great time we had at the GBCN Tournament

Over 300 athletes of dozens Gracie Barra schools attended to our South Cal Classic Tournament on this Saturday, October 25, at Irvine Valley College, Orange County, CA. What a great time we had!

Profs Nelson and Rafael are very proud of all the GB Encinitas students that competed this weekend and also the students that took some time from their families to go to the tournament and support their training partners (what a great family/team we have!!!!)

“The B in BJJ”

Hello everybody!

Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is a very innovative martial art not only when it comes to the techniques but also with the terminology that it is used. There are a lot of specific terms and slang we use when we are “talking Jiu Jitsu.” And now with the growth of the sport around the world, and especially in the United States, the terminology contains a mixture of Portuguese and American words.

The first Gracie Barra Tournament it will take place on October 25th in Irvine at the Irvine Valley College.

Only students from Gracie Barra will participate of the competition so the good environment and camaraderie is garantee.

Let’s keep in touch and make sure that everybody from GB San Clemente Family will be there to ether compete or support each other! It will be a lot of fun!
